  • A driver will be fined AED 600. If they travel 29 kilometers per hour or more over the posted speed limit.
  • A driver will be fined AED 300. If they travel 19 kilometers per hour or above the posted speed limit.

A driver who is found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated faces a 20,000 AED fine and a possible prison sentence. The automobile will also be detained for 60 days and the driver will earn 23 black points.
